The programs offered by the Department it is a program to achieve an MA, MSc, and PhD. Postgraduate studies and research activities focused in the area:
* Landscape Analysis and Environmental Change
* Regional and Urban Planning
* Aboriginal and Health Studies
* Environmental Studies, Policy, Management, and Assessment
* Geographic Information Science and Remote Sensing
* The process of Hydrology and Modelling
Various methods of research conducted by the Faculty, including modeling and quantitative techniques and qualitative research techniques. Fieldwork includes countries with instrumented field sites in both Canada and the Northern Rockies and the places selected urban and rural areas across the country. Department hosted the Canada Research Chair in Environmental Change and Water Resources and is equipped with a graduate student offices, laboratories, and research space for both social and natural sciences with the latest investment provided by the Canada Foundation for Innovation, Universities and the Province of Saskatchewan. The department also shares the university’s commitment to developing partnerships between communities and universities and to engage in research projects that improve conditions for people living in the province.

* letters from 3 referees: this form is completed online. Your referees will receive an email with a link to the form once you submit your application
* A statement of research interest or letter of intent: this is a personal statement of about 2 pages outlining your research interests and indicating how your research intersects with the research interests of members of the department
* official transcripts from all institutions where you have studied: these must be sent directly by the university or in a sealed envelope
* If English is NOT the language of instruction, students must complete a TOEFL or IELTS exam: requirements for this are set out in the website of the College of Graduate Studies and Research
* $75 CDN application fee: paid by cash, money order, Visa, Mastercard, cheque on a Canadian bank
